Furtive Analyst draws you a card when it enters and replaces itself again when it leaves — a two-for-one stapled to a body that flicker and blink decks actively want to abuse. The cost is that a 2/1 for two with no immediate board impact is easy to ignore, which is exactly the point.

In Commander, Furtive Analyst earns its slot in any deck that bounces, blinks, or recurs creatures repeatedly — the enter-and-leave trigger structure means a single Conjurer's Closet activation becomes a free card per turn cycle. In Pauper, where common-only card advantage is scarce, it competes for space in blink shells and holds up reasonably well. In Modern and Legacy the raw stats are too thin to matter outside of niche combo contexts, and Pioneer offers no competitive home for it. Furtive Analyst is a Commander and Pauper card; everywhere else it's a bulk piece with no realistic path to a maindeck slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Furtive Analyst is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a draft chaff box rather than buy individually. Demand is narrow enough that the price is unlikely to move unless a breakout Commander deck puts it on a published decklist.
