Fountain Watch turns every artifact and enchantment you control into a shroud wall — nothing short of a board wipe can pick them off individually. Five mana is steep for a static ability on a 1/6 body, but the blanket protection it offers is real and immediate the turn it lands.

Fountain Watch is a Commander card through and through. In a format where Swords to Plowshares, Vandalblast, and Krosan Grip are staples, blanket shroud on your artifacts and enchantments is a meaningful deterrent — especially in enchantress or artifact-value shells that can't afford to lose key pieces. Legacy and Vintage are theoretically legal but offer no realistic home; those formats move faster than a five-mana do-nothing body can keep up with. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander on a smaller scale, and Fountain Watch fits there for the same reason.
