Found Footage puts a copy of itself into your library face-down every upkeep, snowballing into a hidden-information nightmare that rewards players who can exploit the manifest mechanic. The payoff is real but slow — this is a card for decks built around it, not a slot filler.

Found Footage is a Commander card through and through — the slow accumulation of face-down manifested copies only matters in a 40-life multiplayer game where you have enough turns to weaponize the hidden-information pressure. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern or Pioneer, the payoff arrives far too late and the card offers no immediate board impact, making it unplayable in those contexts. Pauper is where Found Footage sits at its most irrelevant outside of Commander — there's no meaningful manifest infrastructure to support it. Legacy and Vintage have the raw power level to simply ignore what Found Footage is building toward. Stick to Commander.

Price Context
Current price
$0.04 bulk tier
At $0.04, Found Footage is deep bulk — you're paying essentially nothing for a card with a very narrow home. Price stability at this tier is a non-issue; it's a pickup-whenever card with no meaningful demand floor to watch.
