Forgotten Monument turns every colorless mana source into a ritual — tap a Wastes, get two, and anything it produces that you don't spend converts into life or card selection at end of turn. It's a land that does real work in any deck leaning on colorless mana, and Zoraline, Cosmos Caller decks run it at nearly 12% precisely because the mana doubling accelerates her cost-reduction engine faster than almost any other utility land.

Zoraline, Cosmos Caller
Zoraline, Cosmos Caller cares about casting spells with colorless costs, and Forgotten Monument doubles the output of every colorless source while converting leftover mana into life padding or card filtering — both of which keep Zoraline's engine running longer in the mid-game.

Forgotten Monument is a Commander card through and through — the incremental mana doubling and life/draw trigger compound over a long game in ways that a single-game 60-card format rarely rewards. In Modern and Pioneer it's legal but sees essentially no play; dedicated colorless decks exist in those formats, but they tend to want faster, more explosive payoffs than a land that accrues value slowly. Legacy and Vintage have access to broken colorless mana already, so the Monument can't compete for slots. Commander, especially in Eldrazi or artifact-heavy builds, is exactly where its value-over-time design clicks.

Price Context
Current price
$0.16 bulk tier
At $0.16, Forgotten Monument is deep bulk — easy to pick up in any trade binder or throw into a cart without thinking. The price is stable at this floor; it doesn't spike because it rarely crosses over into competitive formats, but it also won't go lower.
