Forget makes a player discard two cards and draw one — net one card stripped from their hand at sorcery speed for two mana. It's a fine rate on paper, but the cantrip replacement means the target recovers immediately, making this worse than most targeted discard in a format where hands refill fast.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Forget is a fringe include at best — hand disruption is already hard to justify in a four-player game, and giving the target a replacement draw blunts the tempo swing you need to make sorcery-speed discard worthwhile. Legacy has access to far more efficient discard like Hymn to Tourach and Thoughtseize, so Forget doesn't compete there. Vintage is legal but irrelevant — no one is sleeving this up. The formats where Forget would see the most traction are all ones it's not legal in.

Price Context
Current price
$0.33 bulk tier
At $0.33, Forget sits firmly in bulk territory, and that price reflects its power level accurately. Demand is low enough that this is unlikely to creep up unless a Commander printing creates sudden interest.
