Flight Spellbomb gives a creature flying until end of turn and replaces itself with a card draw for one blue mana — the effect is narrow and the card slot is not. In Commander, that's a bad trade unless you're building around artifact synergies specifically.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Flight Spellbomb sees its best home in Pauper, where cheap cantripping artifacts slot into Affinity shells and the one-mana draw trigger is worth the slot. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but invisible — better options exist at every point on the curve. Commander is where Flight Spellbomb earns a conditional pass: artifact-count commanders like Breya, Etherium Shaper or Riddlesmith builds can justify it purely as a zero-cost artifact that replaces itself, treating the flying as a bonus rather than the point. Outside those shells, it's a worse Aqueous Form that doesn't stick to the battlefield.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Flight Spellbomb is deep bulk — you're paying for a card slot, not a card. The price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is essentially infinite.
