Flayed Nim turns your own life-loss into a drain engine — whenever you lose life, each opponent loses that much too. The cost is a five-mana 3/3 with no evasion, which is a steep ask in a format where Sorin Markov exists.

Flayed Nim is a Commander card through and through — the effect compounds meaningfully when three opponents are all bleeding simultaneously, and black life-loss payoff decks like Selenia, Dark Dweller or Evelyn, the Covetous give it real homes. In Legacy and Vintage it's unplayable; five mana for a 3/3 with no immediate board impact doesn't compete. Modern technically allows it, but the same problem applies — this effect isn't worth a five-drop when the format ends on turn four.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Flayed Nim is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and little else. That price is stable because demand is narrow: it sees play in a specific Commander niche and nowhere else, so don't expect movement in either direction.
