Fistful of Force gives a creature +2/+2 until end of turn and, on a heads win, trample and an additional +1/+1 counter — solid stats for two mana with a meaningful upside flip. It's a fine combat trick in aggressive green builds, but it doesn't answer permanents or generate card advantage, so it competes poorly against removal that doesn't care about combat.

In Commander, Fistful of Force is a niche inclusion — combat tricks are generally weak in a multiplayer format where one-for-one pump spells rarely swing games, but it finds a home in dedicated go-wide or Voltron green builds that need cheap interaction during combat. In Pauper, where the common slot is contested and green aggro wants every edge in combat, Fistful of Force is more viable — the coin-flip trample is a genuine swing in a format decided by ground stalls. Legacy and Vintage have access to strictly more efficient options, so Fistful of Force doesn't see play there despite being legal.
