Fissure Vent destroys an artifact and a land in one shot — or just one of each if you're in a pinch — for five mana at sorcery speed. It's overcosted for what it does, but the two-for-one on mana denial is the only reason to run it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Fissure Vent occupies a niche role in land-destruction strategies, where pairing artifact removal with land removal on a single card has real appeal — but five mana at sorcery speed is a steep ask when Decimate does four things for the same cost. In Pauper, the common format is where Fissure Vent is most credible; artifact-land overlap is meaningful there and the competition for removal slots is narrower. Legacy and Vintage have such efficient answers at one and two mana that Fissure Vent never sees play.

Price Context
Current price
$0.17 bulk tier
At $0.17, Fissure Vent is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box, not tracking it down. There's no pressure on that price to move; demand is too narrow to push it anywhere.
