Firecannon Blast deals 6 damage to a creature or planeswalker for three mana — that range kills almost everything relevant — but it requires you to have attacked with a Ship this turn, which is a hard condition outside of dedicated Pirates builds. Run it if your deck enables the condition naturally; ignore it otherwise.

In Commander, Firecannon Blast slots cleanly into Pirates-tribal lists where attacking with a Ship is a given, making the condition trivially met and the six-damage ceiling a reliable answer to most threats. Outside of that tribal context, the condition makes it a liability — three mana for a conditional removal spell is a bad rate when unconditional options like Chaos Warp or Generous Gift exist at the same cost. In Pauper, where the card pool is narrower and Pirates synergies see real play, Firecannon Blast becomes more competitive as a removal tool. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer the format speed and the narrowness of the condition keep it on the bench entirely.

Price Context
Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Firecannon Blast is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a common box, not buying it. Bulk conditional removal doesn't appreciate; buy it if you need it, don't speculate.
