Finishing Move destroys a creature and exiles a graveyard — two effects on one card for three mana. The restrictions are real, but the raw impact is there if you can meet them.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | banned |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | banned |
| pauper | banned |
| oathbreaker | banned |
Finishing Move is banned in Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, and not legal in Modern, Pioneer, or Standard — Commander is its only home. The four restrictions are: you must control a creature, that creature must have dealt combat damage to a player this turn, the target must be a creature, and you exile a graveyard rather than choosing any permanent type. In 60-card formats those hoops are too narrow and the upside too conditional, but Commander's longer games, graveyard-heavy metas, and combat-centric strategies give Finishing Move enough room to breathe.

Price Context
Current price
$0.04 bulk tier
At $0.04, Finishing Move is deep bulk — the lowest price tier on the market. It won't hold or gain value, but that's irrelevant; you're buying it to fill a slot, not as a financial decision.
