Final Vengeance exiles a creature at instant speed for two mana — a clean, hard answer to indestructible threats and graveyard recursion targets alike. The catch is sacrificing another creature, which makes it a liability in decks without a steady supply of disposable bodies, but in Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor and similar sacrifice engines it's exactly as cheap as it should be.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor
Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor runs a constant current of Curse-laden creatures flowing in and out of play, so the sacrifice cost on Final Vengeance is rarely a real cost — you're cashing in something already earmarked for the bin while permanently removing a problem permanent.

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker
Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker returns every sacrificed creature with power 1 or less at end of turn, turning the sacrifice rider on Final Vengeance into a non-cost — exile the threat, get your creature back, and do it again next turn.

Minthara, Merciless Soul
Minthara, Merciless Soul rewards sacrifice with stat bonuses and aggressive payoffs, so Final Vengeance slots in as removal that doubles as a trigger rather than a tempo loss.

In Commander, Final Vengeance is a role-player in sacrifice-matters builds — exile is premium removal at that price point, and the self-sacrifice clause is mitigated by any engine that generates tokens or recurs creatures. In competitive one-on-one formats like Modern and Pioneer, two mana at instant speed for an exile effect is functional, but the mandatory sacrifice keeps it off the primary removal shortlist where Fatal Push and Murderous Cut exist. Legacy and Vintage are too fast and too removal-rich for it to compete. Pauper is where it could carve out real niche use in black sacrifice shells alongside Carrion Feeder or Viscera Seer, since unconditional exile at common is genuinely scarce.

Price Context
Current price
$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Final Vengeance is deep bulk — the kind of card you find in the dollar box and never worry about. Bulk exile removal rarely spikes unless it finds a tournament home, and this one's competition in Commander is stiff enough that a price jump would require a very specific meta shift.
