Feast of Flesh card art
Feast of Flesh gains you life equal to a target creature's power — immediate, unconditional, and free at one mana. It's a bulk common for a reason: lifegain without a secondary effect is rarely worth a card slot in Commander.

Feast of Flesh is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but the formats where it sees real play are essentially none of them. In Pauper it sits below the power threshold — Basilisk Collar and Vault Skirge do more structural work for life-gain archetypes. In Commander, one-shot lifegain spells without upside are almost always the first cuts when tuning a list. The only context where Feast of Flesh earns a slot is a dedicated lifegain-matters Commander shell with a commander like Lifeseeker that cares about the raw number, and even then there are stronger options.
