Farsight Mask draws you a card whenever an opponent deals damage to you, turning every hit into card advantage — the catch is that it costs five mana and does nothing until someone swings at you. In decks that want to be attacked or that run high life totals, it pays off; everywhere else, five mana for conditional draw is a bad deal.

Farsight Mask is a Commander card through and through — the multiplayer environment means three opponents who might all swing at you across a long game, which makes the triggered draw add up in a way it simply never would in a one-on-one format. In Legacy, Modern, and Vintage it's technically legal but entirely unplayable; five mana for a draw trigger that requires your opponent to attack you is nowhere near competitive speed in those formats. Commander is the one context where the card earns its slot, and even there it belongs only in decks built around being a target or generating value from combat damage — it's a role-player, not a staple.

Current price
$0.34 bulk tier
At $0.34, Farsight Mask is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a niche role-player. The price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is ample; don't expect movement in either direction.
