Farideh's Fireball card art
Farideh's Fireball scales with the number of dice you've rolled that turn, turning a modest mana investment into a table-sweeping damage spike in the right shell. Outside dedicated dice-rolling builds — particularly Wyll, Blade of Frontiers // Sword Coast Sailor — it's an overpriced, underpowered burn spell that never makes the cut.

Wyll, Blade of FrontiersSword Coast Sailor

Wyll, Blade of Frontiers // Sword Coast Sailor

64.3% of decks · synergy 0.63

Wyll, Blade of Frontiers // Sword Coast Sailor is the natural home: every die rolled adds to Farideh's Fireball's damage output, and Wyll's passive keeps the dice flowing turn after turn, making the spell routinely hit for 6–10 damage by mid-game.

02
Mr. House, President and CEO

Mr. House, President and CEO

23.3% of decks · synergy 0.22

Mr. House, President and CEO generates a constant stream of dice rolls off his token engine, and Farideh's Fireball converts that volume into a reliable finisher that can close out weakened opponents in the late game.

Farideh's Fireball is a Commander card through and through — the multiplayer table gives it targets, and dice-rolling synergies are dense enough in EDH to make the damage ceiling real. In Pauper, Pioneer, Modern, and Legacy, it's simply too conditional: mono-red burn wants guaranteed damage numbers, and a spell that requires prior dice rolls to threaten meaningful impact doesn't compete with Lightning Bolt or Rift Bolt. Vintage has better things to do at every point on the curve. Play Farideh's Fireball in Commander or not at all.

Price Context

Current price

$0.21 bulk tier

At $0.21, Farideh's Fireball is firmly bulk — easy to pick up, easy to ignore. Its narrow role keeps demand low, so don't expect the price to move unless a pushed dice-rolling commander spikes the format.
