False Orders card art
False Orders pulls a blocking creature out of combat mid-block or forces a defender in — instant-speed combat manipulation that can swing a race or blow out an alpha strike. It's a narrow card that earns its slot only in dedicated combat-trick or red aggro shells.

False Orders is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, and nowhere else. In Commander it's fringe at best — one-mana combat tricks don't scale to four-player games where board states dwarf any single block manipulation. Legacy and Vintage have the raw power to make one-mana instants matter, but those formats have no interest in False Orders when superior tempo plays exist. Pauper is the most plausible home, where cheap red tricks in aggressive lists can steal races, though even there the card sees minimal play.

Price Context

Current price

$0.75 bulk tier

At $0.75, False Orders sits at the low end of bulk — available but not quite free-bin territory. Demand is too narrow to push the price higher, and it's unlikely to move without a sudden spike in competitive Pauper aggro interest.
