Fade from Memory exiles a card from any graveyard and then cleans out every other copy of that card across all graveyards, hands, and libraries — a uniquely thorough erasure for one black mana. It's a niche piece of graveyard hate, not a staple, but in the right meta it does things Tormod's Crypt and Relic of Progenitus can't.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Fade from Memory occupies a narrow but real slot: one black mana to permanently erase a specific card from the entire game is strong against recursion-dependent strategies like Karador, Ghost Chieftain or Muldrotha, the Gravetide, where a single engine card reoccurring every turn wins games. Legacy and Vintage are the only other formats where it's legal, and neither has meaningful demand for it — faster, broader graveyard hate like Surgical Extraction dominates those formats. Fade from Memory's sorcery speed is its biggest liability in competitive play, but in a 99-card singleton format where one card often matters more than a wide sweep, the precision can be worth it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Fade from Memory is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not scarcity. That price is stable; there's no pressure driving it up, and no reprint risk worth thinking about at this level.
