Facevaulter turns surplus Goblins into a repeatable pump — sacrifice a Goblin, get +2/+2 until end of turn, and stack it as many times as you have fodder. The cost is real: you need a critical mass of disposable tokens to make it threatening, and it does nothing the turn you play it without that infrastructure already in place.

Facevaulter is a Commander card through and through — it only pays off in decks that generate enough Goblin tokens to sacrifice freely, and that infrastructure exists most reliably in a 100-card singleton shell built around tribal synergy. In Pauper it's legal but competes with more efficient sacrifice outlets that don't require tribal redundancy to fire. Legacy and Vintage have it technically available, but no competitive shell wants a one-mana do-nothing without tokens already on board. Facevaulter's real home is a Krenko or Muxus Commander list where the token engine is already running and this slot becomes a free damage multiplier.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Facevaulter is pure bulk — grab a copy without thinking about it. Demand is narrow enough that this price is stable; it won't spike unless a high-profile Goblin commander drives sudden interest.
