Everflame Eidolon puts a +1/+1 counter on a creature every time you cast an Aura or bestow it, and it comes back from the graveyard as an Aura via Dawn Evangel synergies or its own bestow recursion loop. The cost — two mana with colorless flexibility — is low enough that the engine it enables outweighs how easily it dies as a 1/1.

Everflame Eidolon is a niche card in competitive formats — Legacy and Vintage don't want a two-mana 1/1 with conditional upside when faster, more redundant engines exist. Modern and Pioneer enchantment-creature decks can use it, but it rarely makes maindeck cuts over more impactful bestow or Aura payoffs.
