Escaped Experiment enters as a 3/3 and replaces itself immediately — you pay three mana and lose nothing in hand. It's a clean rate for token and creature-count strategies, and the baseline floor is high enough that you're never embarrassed to run it.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Escaped Experiment slots cleanly into any blue or Simic shell that cares about creature count, tokens, or entering-the-battlefield triggers — the free draw staples it into the 99 without much deliberation. In Pauper it's legal and the body-plus-card at common is legitimately competitive filler for tempo and tempo-aggro builds. Modern and Pioneer have enough three-mana threats that Escaped Experiment doesn't make the cut in powered lists, but it's fine bulk for budget brews. Legacy and Vintage don't want it — the rate doesn't clear the bar those formats demand.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Escaped Experiment is deep bulk — you're not paying a premium for anything here. The price should hold flat; there's no spike target attached, and it's the kind of card you pick up in a bundle without thinking about it.
