Errant Ephemeron is a 4/4 flyer for four mana — the catch is that suspend costs seven and it takes four turns to arrive, so you're not casting it in any conventional sense. It's a payoff for suspend-matters builds, not a generically good threat.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Pauper is where Errant Ephemeron has historically seen the most play, since a 4/4 flyer at common is a legitimate clock and suspend sidesteps the casting restriction cleanly in slower blue control shells. In Commander, it's too slow without explicit suspend synergies — four counters is an eternity when games end on turn 8 or 9. Legacy and Vintage have far more efficient threats, so Errant Ephemeron doesn't compete there. If your Commander deck is built around suspend payoffs like Jhoira of the Ghitu, it earns a slot; otherwise, it doesn't.

Price Context
Current price
$0.02 bulk tier
At $0.02, Errant Ephemeron is deep bulk — you'll spend more on a sleeve than the card. It holds no financial value, but at this price the only reason not to own a copy is that you don't need one.
