Erhnam Djinn puts a 4/5 trampler on the board for four mana — an efficient rate by any era's standard — but the forestwalk rider hands an opponent a free combat advantage every upkeep. The drawback is real enough that Erhnam Djinn belongs only in green decks that can control which opponent gets the gift, or ignore the downside entirely.

In Legacy and Vintage, Erhnam Djinn is a historical curiosity rather than a live option — four mana for a vanilla-adjacent creature doesn't compete in formats where Delver of Secrets and Murktide Regent exist. Commander is where Erhnam Djinn finds its most charitable home: the forestwalk drawback scales down in a four-player pod since you pick the recipient, and green stompy commanders that want bodies on curve can absorb the liability. Even there, the competition at four mana is steep enough that Erhnam Djinn is a nostalgia pick more than an optimized one.
