Enslaved Scout puts a 2/1 mountainwalk body on the board for two mana — functional, forgettable, and outclassed by nearly every other two-drop in red. Unless your deck specifically rewards cheap red creatures or exploits mountainwalk in a Mountain-heavy meta, this slot is better spent elsewhere.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Enslaved Scout is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but only Pauper gives it any real consideration — common creature slots at two mana are competitive there, and even so it rarely makes the cut. In Commander, a 2/1 with mountainwalk does almost nothing at 100-card scale; the ability is conditional evasion against a single player running Mountains, which is too narrow to justify the slot. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient options and would never touch it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Enslaved Scout sits firmly in bulk territory — you're paying for cardboard, not power. Bulk commons don't appreciate, so there's no reason to acquire copies beyond the occasional casual or Pauper experiment.
