In Commander, Enhanced Awareness is a last-resort draw spell for decks that can't afford better — think strict budget builds where Concentrate and Harmonize are already in and you need a fifth copy of that effect. In Pauper, the commons pool is shallow enough that five mana for three cards is occasionally worth slotting, particularly in slower control shells.
