Engineered Might gives one creature +5/+5 and trample or puts +1/+1 counters on all your creatures — five mana for a swing that ends games if you have a wide board or a single massive threat. It's a solid finisher in creature-heavy Commander decks, redundant in most other formats where cheaper options exist.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Engineered Might earns its slot in go-wide or counter-synergy decks where five mana for a board-wide pump ends the game on the spot. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, it's legal but practically invisible — five mana at sorcery speed is too slow when Collected Company, pump spells, and combat tricks exist at a fraction of the cost. Vintage has the same problem at a higher power ceiling. Oathbreaker is the one other format where it occasionally shows up, again only in counter-focused builds where the distribute mode doubles as setup for future turns.

Pricing data for Engineered Might isn't currently available, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the current market rate. Given its narrow competitive application, it tends to sit in bulk-rare territory — worth picking up cheaply if it fits your build, but not a card to chase at a premium.
