Enduring Angel // Angelic Enforcer card art
Enduring Angel // Angelic Enforcer resets your life total to 3 the moment you'd otherwise die — a built-in second chance stapled to a 3/3 flying body — then flips into a threat that doubles your life total every time it attacks. The six-mana cost is real, but any deck running Sanguine Bond or similar life-total-matters payoffs gets immediate value from both halves.

Commander is where Enduring Angel // Angelic Enforcer belongs. The singleton format's longer games give you time to cast it on curve, and multiplayer means opponents will chip you down to near-death repeatedly — which is exactly when the flip trigger shines. In Modern or Pioneer it's a cute corner-case card at best: six mana is too slow against dedicated aggro, and the "you'd lose" trigger is unreliable as a win condition in a race. Legacy and Vintage are simply too fast to care. Stick to Commander, ideally in a life-gain shell where the Angelic Enforcer side turns your padded life total into a runaway number.

Current price data isn't available for Enduring Angel // Angelic Enforcer, so check Scryfall or a major retailer for a live quote before buying. As a mythic rare with a narrow but devoted audience in life-gain Commander builds, it tends to hold moderate value — neither a bulk throw-in nor a chase staple.
