Emergent Growth puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control and gives them all trample until end of turn — a board-wide pump that punishes any opponent who lets you untap with a wide board. The cost is real: it's a sorcery, it needs green mana, and it does nothing if you're behind on creatures.

Emergent Growth is a Commander card through and through — the formats where you're assembling 10+ creatures and swinging for lethal in one turn are exactly where this shines. In 1v1 formats like Modern or Legacy, a sorcery-speed pump spell that doesn't close the game on its own rarely earns a slot over faster threats or interaction. Pioneer has token and go-wide strategies, but the competition for that spell slot is stiff and the card sees essentially no play there. In Commander, any Elf, Goblin, or token deck that regularly floods the board treats Emergent Growth as a budget finisher that can end the game out of nowhere.

$0.16 bulk tier
At $0.16, Emergent Growth is deep bulk — you're paying pocket change for a card that pulls real weight in go-wide Commander lists. Bulk rares with genuine utility tend to stay cheap indefinitely, so there's no urgency either way; just pick up a copy the next time you're placing an order.
