Eldrazi Repurposer turns every nontoken creature that dies into a 10/10 Eldrazi token — on your opponents' turns as much as your own — which is a massive amount of board presence for a five-mana 3/3. The cost is that it does nothing alone and needs a death-trigger engine to pay off, but in any deck built around sacrifice or graveyard recursion, it converts inevitability into Eldrazi.

Commander is where Eldrazi Repurposer does its best work — multiplayer games run long, creatures die constantly, and a single end step of combat can net two or three 10/10 tokens before anyone can respond. In Pauper it's legal but fights for a slot in a format that demands immediate impact, and a 3/3 for five with a conditional trigger rarely clears that bar. Legacy and Vintage have the raw power to exploit mass-death effects, but both formats end too fast for a five-mana do-nothing to matter outside of fringe reanimator shells. Oathbreaker lands somewhere in between — closer to Commander in its threat density, so the Repurposer can find a home in the right sacrifice-focused pairing.
