Duskwalker is a Kicker creature that enters as a 2/1 for two mana or a 4/3 with intimidate for six — the kicked version is the only reason to play it. The floor is too small to matter and the ceiling requires six mana for a vanilla-adjacent beater, which is a bad deal in almost any format.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Duskwalker is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but legal doesn't mean playable. In Commander, six mana for a 4/3 with intimidate is well below the curve — the format demands either evasion that closes games or a combo role, and Duskwalker fills neither. Pauper is the one format where Kicker synergies and common-card restrictions could theoretically make it relevant, but even there the rate is poor against the format's aggressive and tempo decks. Legacy and Vintage simply have no use for it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Duskwalker sits firmly in bulk territory and will stay there — there is no competitive demand pulling the price up. Pick it up if a specific Kicker-matters build needs the headcount, but don't expect any price movement.
