Dungeon Crawler is a recursive threat that keeps coming back as long as you're running dungeons — the grind is real and the cost is almost nothing. Outside of Acererak the Archlich decks that loop dungeon completion repeatedly, it's a fringe card, but in the right shell it's exactly what you want.

Acererak the Archlich
Acererak the Archlich loops dungeon completions as a core mechanic, and Dungeon Crawler returns to hand every time you finish one — meaning a single Acererak loop cycle can set up Dungeon Crawler as an effectively uncounterable recurring body that refuels itself from the graveyard each iteration.

Dungeon Crawler is a Commander card through and through — the dungeon mechanic has almost no support in competitive 60-card formats, so it sees negligible play in Modern, Pioneer, or Legacy despite being legal in all three. In Commander, it earns a slot specifically in Acererak the Archlich builds where dungeon completion is triggered repeatedly and Dungeon Crawler becomes a persistent recursive threat rather than a one-time two-drop. Outside that archetype, it's dead weight — no other competitive shell cares about dungeon completion often enough to make the recursion relevant.

Price Context
Current price
$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Dungeon Crawler is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card with a very narrow home. Demand is tightly coupled to Acererak the Archlich's popularity, so don't expect the price to move unless that commander has a breakout moment.
