Drudge Skeletons blocks indefinitely for one black mana per attack, which sounds useful until you remember that a 1/1 regenerator does nothing to stop combat damage from going to your face. It occupies a creature slot, asks for mana upkeep every turn, and ends most combats exactly as badly as not blocking at all.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Drudge Skeletons is a relic that sees no competitive play in any format where it's legal. In Legacy, Vintage, and Pauper, the bar for a two-mana creature is interaction, evasion, or a meaningful body — Drudge Skeletons offers none of those. Commander is its most forgiving home, but even there a 1/1 that soaks one attacker per turn at a mana cost contributes almost nothing to a 100-card strategy. Cube and precon nostalgia are the only contexts where it appears, and neither is a reason to put it in a real deck.

Current price
$0.35 bulk tier
At $0.35, Drudge Skeletons sits firmly in bulk territory and will stay there — demand is negligible outside sealed product. The price reflects exactly what it is: a card you own by accident, not by intent.
