Drudge Sentinel trades its tap ability to give itself +0/+3 until end of turn — a reasonable defensive trick on a 2/3 body for three mana, but paying a tap means you're choosing between blocking and bracing, which undercuts both modes. It's filler unless your deck specifically rewards creatures that tap for value.

Drudge Sentinel is a fringe Pauper consideration at best, where the common card pool is shallow enough that a 2/3 with a defensive activated ability can occasionally pull weight in slow defensive shells. In Commander, it doesn't clear the bar — a three-mana 2/3 with no enters-the-battlefield effect and a tap ability that doesn't generate mana, cards, or board presence is hard to justify in any 99. Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Pioneer all have creature density that makes Drudge Sentinel invisible; it won't show up in those formats outside of cube curiosity.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Drudge Sentinel is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. It holds that price floor the way all commons do: stable at near-zero, with no demand driver that would push it higher.
