Dromar's Cavern enters tapped and bounces a land you control — that's two tempo hits in one card — but the payoff is a Plains, Island, or Swamp you can replay for landfall triggers, making it a real piece in Retreat to Emeria shells and similar landfall-abuse strategies. Outside those synergies, the cost isn't worth it.

Dromar's Cavern is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it only earns a slot in Commander where redundant landfall triggers justify the bounce-and-enter-tapped penalty. In Legacy and Vintage the tempo loss is disqualifying — those formats punish missed mana far too harshly for a land that does nothing the turn it arrives. Commander is the only format where Dromar's Cavern pulls its weight, and even there it belongs in a dedicated landfall or land-recursion shell rather than as generic fixing.
