Drogskol Cavalry hits the table and immediately floods the board with 1/1 Spirit tokens every time a Spirit dies — in the right shell, that's a self-replenishing army stapled to a single seven-mana threat. King of the Oathbreakers and recursive tools like Corpse Dance make the death trigger trivially easy to abuse, and the life gain clause turns a wide Spirit board into a genuine clock against aggro.

Commanders with the highest synergy

King of the Oathbreakers
King of the Oathbreakers pumps every Spirit you control and makes them harder to block, so the tokens Drogskol Cavalry generates aren't just fodder — they're relevant attackers the turn they enter, turning each death trigger into compounding pressure.

Millicent, Restless Revenant
Millicent, Restless Revenant already creates a Spirit token whenever a non-token Spirit dies, so Drogskol Cavalry stacks a second token on top of every death event, making the board exponentially wider each combat.

Drogskol Cavalry is too slow and too narrow for competitive Constructed — seven mana for an 4/4 doesn't pass the Pioneer or Modern smell test regardless of upside. Commander is where it lives: the format's slower clock lets you actually untap with it, and Spirit tribal commanders like King of the Oathbreakers and Millicent, Restless Revenant turn the death trigger into a genuine engine rather than an occasional bonus. Oathbreaker is a secondary home for the same reason — Spirit synergies translate directly. Outside of tribal-focused pods, Drogskol Cavalry is a bench piece even in Commander, but inside a Spirit deck it's a high-priority include.

Pricing data for Drogskol Cavalry isn't currently available in the index, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number before buying. It's a Spirit tribal staple with a narrow audience, so supply and demand tend to keep the ceiling modest — but confirm before assuming it's a bulk pickup.
