Dralnu's Pet is a conditional flying beater that can land as a 6/6 or bigger on turn three, but the kicker cost demands you discard a card to get there. If you're not in a deck that actively wants cards in the graveyard, you're paying a real cost for a creature that folds to the same removal as anything else.

Dralnu's Pet is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees essentially no Constructed play outside of niche Commander builds. In Legacy and Vintage, a three-mana creature with a discard kicker competes in formats where that slot wins games outright, and Dralnu's Pet doesn't come close.
