Drakewing Krasis puts a 3/1 flier with trample on the board for three mana — reasonable stats, reasonable keywords, unremarkable rate. The problem is that three mana buys you much stronger bodies elsewhere, so Drakewing Krasis only earns a slot when the Simic creature type or the specific keyword combination is doing work.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Drakewing Krasis is a role-player at best — Simic +1/+1 counter builds like Zegana, Utopian Speaker or evolve-matters decks can use the evasion, but it rarely makes the cut over more impactful three-drops. In Pauper it's legal but sees no play; the format's aggressive commons simply outclass a 3/1 for three. Legacy, Vintage, Modern, and Pioneer are all theoretically legal, but Drakewing Krasis has never been a competitive consideration in any of them — the bar for a vanilla-adjacent creature at three mana is far too high. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: fine in the right niche, invisible everywhere else.

Price Context
Current price
$0.04 bulk tier
At $0.04, Drakewing Krasis is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and nothing more. It holds no financial value and never will, but if the Simic keyword package is what your deck needs, the price is irrelevant.
