Dracoplasm enters as a flying, firebreathing amalgam whose power and toughness scale with the creatures you sacrifice to it — a genuinely threatening clock once it absorbs two or three bodies. The cost is that you're investing mana and cards up front with no guarantee of surviving a removal spell before you untap.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Dracoplasm has the most room to operate, because the format's singleton rule and creature-dense strategies mean sacrifice fodder is plentiful and the flying threat matters on a board full of ground-stall. Legacy and Vintage are legal on paper, but neither format has any reason to run a three-mana build-around when the powered environments offer far more efficient threats. Dracoplasm is essentially a Commander card that happens to be legal elsewhere.

$0.52 bulk tier
At $0.52, Dracoplasm is bulk — easy to pick up without thinking twice about the price. It won't appreciate; this is a niche casual card, and the price reflects exactly that.
