Dominator Drone enters the battlefield and makes each opponent lose 2 life — a guaranteed drain stapled to a 2/3 body for three mana, with no conditions attached. The cost is the Eldrazi Scion clause: you only get the trigger if you control another colorless or Eldrazi creature, which means Dominator Drone belongs in dedicated tribal or colorless builds, not as a splash.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Dominator Drone is an Eldrazi tribal piece that punishes all three opponents simultaneously — 6 life drained on a single ETB is real in a format where totals start at 40. Outside of dedicated Eldrazi or colorless shells, the condition is too restrictive to justify the slot. In Pauper, where it's legal, the two-creature requirement is harder to consistently satisfy in most aggro lists, and three mana for a 2/3 with a conditional drain doesn't clear the bar against faster threats. Legacy, Vintage, and Modern are non-starters — Dominator Drone's rate isn't close to competitive in those formats. The card has one home: a Commander deck built around colorless or Eldrazi synergies.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Dominator Drone is deep bulk — grab a copy any time you're sleeving an Eldrazi build without a second thought. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price point don't fluctuate meaningfully unless a tribal deck spikes in popularity, so there's no urgency beyond "do you need it now?".
