Divine Light prevents all damage this turn for one white mana — a fog effect stapled to the cheapest possible cost. It's a clean combat trick, but white has better options at instant speed that also answer threats rather than just pause them.

In Commander, Divine Light occupies the same slot as Fog effects: narrow, reactive, and rarely worth a deck slot when one white mana could go toward removal or a board wipe that actually changes the game state. In Pauper, where cheap white tricks see more play in tempo and life-gain shells, it's at least a consideration, though dedicated fog strategies remain fringe. Legacy and Vintage have too many ways to end the game through non-combat damage for Divine Light to register as a meaningful line of defense.

$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Divine Light is deep bulk — you'll find copies in any common box at any game store. Bulk commons don't appreciate, so there's no reason to stock up beyond the one or two copies you might actually sleeve.
