Distracting Geist // Clever Distraction

In Commander, Distracting Geist // Clever Distraction is too slow and too low-impact for a 100-card singleton format where tapping a single creature rarely swings a four-player game. In Modern and Pioneer it occupies the fringes of Disturb-synergy brews and spirit-tribal shells, but it never cracks mainboards because the tap effect doesn't progress a board state or close a game. Legacy and Vintage have access to interaction so efficient that a three-mana tap effect across two cards is simply outclassed. Oathbreaker is the one place it could theoretically matter — lower starting life totals and smaller pod sizes make tempo disruption more meaningful — but even there it demands a dedicated home.
