Demigod of Revenge card art
Demigod of Revenge hits the board as a 5/4 flying haste for five mana and pulls every copy of itself out of your graveyard simultaneously — the reanimation trigger is the whole point. The triple-black-red pip cost is a real constraint, but in a dedicated BR shell this is a finisher that snowballs the moment a second copy exists anywhere in your yard.

In Commander, Demigod of Revenge is a niche role-player rather than a staple — you only run one copy, so the mass-reanimation trigger never fires, and a 5/4 flying haste for BBBRRR is just a beater at that point. Modern and Legacy are where Demigod of Revenge has historically earned its reputation, slotting into BR discard-heavy shells that can dump multiple copies early and then cast one to flood the board on turn four or five. Vintage has the raw power density to make better use of five mana, so it rarely shows up there competitively. Oathbreaker is legal but shares the single-copy ceiling problem as Commander, limiting the trigger's upside.

Pricing data isn't available at the moment, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a current figure. Demigod of Revenge has historically been an affordable mythic given its narrow format applications, and casual BR reanimator players can usually pick up a copy without much budget strain.
