Delta Bloodflies enters with a +1/+1 counter for each opponent who lost life this turn, which in a multiplayer game means it can land as a 4/4 or larger on turn three without any extra setup. The floor is a vanilla 1/1 for three mana — unplayable — so the card lives or dies by how reliably you can tick off that life-loss condition before the main phase.
Format Analysis

Delta Bloodflies is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. The life-loss trigger scales directly with opponent count, and a four-player game means three chances to grow it before it even hits the battlefield — a ceiling that simply doesn't exist in 1v1 formats. In Standard, Pioneer, and Modern it's a three-mana 1/1 with upside that requires a dedicated life-drain shell to function, and those formats have strictly better payoffs for that investment. Pauper is where it gets mildly interesting if a consistent turn-one or turn-two life-loss enabler exists at common, but the body still competes poorly with what aggressive and midrange pauper decks want. Stick to Commander.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Delta Bloodflies is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and postage, not the card itself. Bulk rares with narrow synergy profiles rarely climb without a specific combo or format breakout, so grab a copy for your life-drain deck and don't expect the price to move.
