Defiant Falcon is a Rebel tribal piece first and foremost, and Commander is where that tribe has the most room to build around it — pair it with other Rebel searchers and you can assemble an engine that finds answers or threats at will. In Pauper, Defiant Falcon is a legitimate engine card; Rebel chains at common are powerful enough that the format has historically had to keep an eye on them. Legacy and Vintage legality is technically on the table, but the Rebel chain is too slow and narrow to compete in either format's landscape. Outside of dedicated Rebel builds, Defiant Falcon doesn't have a home.
