Declare Dominance makes one creature a kill magnet for an entire combat step — every blocker trades into it, clearing the path for your whole board. Five mana for a sorcery that does nothing without attackers already in play is a real cost, and it does nothing the turn your threat dies to removal before attacks.

General Marhault Elsdragon
General Marhault Elsdragon's rampage trigger stacks with every creature forced to block it, so Declare Dominance turns a single swinging Marhault into a stat monster while stripping the defending player's board at the same time.

In Commander, Declare Dominance earns its slot specifically in go-wide or trample-heavy green-red builds where forcing blocks doubles as a board wipe against one opponent. Elsewhere it struggles — Constructed formats have no shortage of four- and five-mana sorceries that generate card advantage rather than spending it, and no competitive Modern or Pioneer deck wants a combat trick that requires you to already be winning to matter. Legacy and Vintage have zero interest. Declare Dominance is a Commander-only card in practice, and even there it belongs in specific shells rather than as a generic green staple.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Declare Dominance is deep bulk — you're picking this out of a bargain bin or including it as a free slot-filler. Bulk rares rarely move without a format breakout that isn't coming here, so don't expect the price to budge.
