Dead Reveler is a 3/2 with scavenge that trades early and threatens a +3/+3 counter drop later — the body is aggressively statted for three mana, but scavenge costs five, making the late-game payoff slow. Dead Reveler is a Pauper-legal common, and that's where it's most at home — aggressive black decks can use the 3/2 body early and occasionally recoup value via scavenge in grind-out games. In Commander, it's too low-impact to compete: a vanilla 3/2 for three doesn't move the needle, and five mana for three counters is far below the curve of dedicated counter synergies. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer have enough efficient threats that Dead Reveler never sees play in competitive lists. Oathbreaker is similarly uninterested unless a specific planeswalker-and-signature-spell shell somehow rewards scavenge repetition, which none meaningfully do.
