Daru Healer gains you life when a Soldier enters the battlefield — useful only if you're running a Soldier-tribal shell that generates volume, and even then the payoff is negligible without a life-total payoff attached. The Yedora, Grave Gardener combo aside, this is a fringe role-player that rarely makes the cut outside of dedicated synergy builds.

Daru Healer sees essentially no play in Legacy or Vintage — formats too fast and too powerful to care about a 1/3 that gains one life per Soldier — and it's absent from Modern, Pioneer, and Standard entirely. Pauper is the most plausible home, where the common card pool can support Soldier synergies and slower life-gain strategies, but even there it competes with more efficient options. In Commander, Daru Healer is almost exclusively a combo piece: it appears in Yedora, Grave Gardener lines where repeated land-creature triggers generate Soldier tokens, turning the life gain into a functional loop component rather than incidental cushion.

$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Daru Healer is deep bulk — the price of a card with near-zero competitive demand and a narrow niche in a single Commander combo. It won't appreciate unless that combo sees a surge in popularity, so grab a copy if you need one and don't think twice about it.
