Dark Maze is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but its relevance in all of them is almost entirely conditional on the Crackdown Construct combo. In Commander it sees the most play, slotting into artifact-value or spellslinger shells that already want Crackdown Construct as a finisher. Legacy and Vintage have the raw card quality to make the combo redundant, and Pauper's creature-centric aggro environment has no interest in a 2/3 that contributes nothing on its own. Dark Maze is a Commander card that happens to be legal elsewhere.
