Daring Skyjek

In Pauper, Daring Skyjek fits white weenie and Battalion-themed aggro shells where committing three attackers is the plan every turn anyway, making the flying a genuine reward rather than a conditional footnote. Modern and Pioneer have enough cheap white creatures to enable Battalion, but the competition at two mana is steep — Adanto Vanguard and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben demand the slot before Daring Skyjek does. Legacy and Vintage don't want it at all; the power floor is too low. In Commander, the card underperforms — multiplayer combat math rarely lets you swing with three creatures into open boards, so Battalion triggers are unreliable, and a 3/1 without built-in evasion outside that trigger dies to any incidental block.
