Cybernetica Datasmith puts a free +1/+1 counter on a Servo or Construct whenever you activate a Servo or Construct's ability — a passive counter engine that scales hard in any artifact-creature shell. The cost is that it does nothing alone; you need a critical mass of activatable robots before it earns its slot, but pair it with Intruder Alarm and the ceiling gets absurd fast.

Cybernetica Datasmith is a Commander card through and through — the 100-card singleton format gives you the redundancy and tribal density (Constructs, Servos, artifact synergies) it needs to fire consistently. Legacy and Vintage allow it but competitive staples crowd it out at every mana cost, and no realistic shell there wants a three-mana do-nothing-alone creature. Commander is where the payoff actually materializes.

Current price
$0.37 bulk tier
At $0.37, Cybernetica Datasmith is firmly bulk — you're picking it up for pocket change. That price is stable; it has no crossover appeal outside Commander, so don't expect appreciation, but you're also not risking anything by speccing a playset for future builds.
