Cutthroat Centurion enters the battlefield and immediately kills something — it deals damage equal to its power to any target the moment it arrives, which on a 3/2 for three mana means three damage on entry, no attack step required. The rate is decent and the effect is unconditional, making it a removal spell stapled to a body at common.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Cutthroat Centurion earns its slot in decks that care about enters-the-battlefield triggers — blink, flicker, and aristocrats shells can squeeze repeated damage out of it, and any commander that boosts power before it enters turns three damage into something more threatening. Pauper is where it has the most competitive relevance, since the card pool at common makes an on-entry 3-damage body genuinely efficient removal. In Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and too small to see meaningful play — three mana for a 3/2 that pings once doesn't clear the bar when the format's threats and removal are both faster. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters for the same reason, compounded by the sheer density of better options.

Price Context
Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Cutthroat Centurion is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a common box, not buying a single. That price is a floor with nowhere to go; it's a useful role-player in budget Commander and Pauper builds, but don't expect any upward movement.
